The cast of “Shrinking” shares the defining moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and reveal who is the best Harrison Ford impersonator
Synopsis
A grief counselor begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks, and by ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives — including his own. When asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the show, Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence said that Goldstein originally wanted someone who was a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition for people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least pitch it to Ford first, thinking that he would reject it outright, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been featured in the project, which had piqued the interest of another big-name actors.

Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and convinced him to take the part. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was happy nonetheless. Currently two episodes in, this show shows a lot of promise, the chemistry between the characters is infectious, and at times even strange… it’s heartwarming in a way that most shows aren’t, reminiscent of Community alone for those elements.
Harrison Ford plays Dr
I’m not sure if this is an accurate portrayal of how a therapist deals with problems, but it certainly gives Jason Segel the opportunity to put his own spin on it. Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor. I wasn’t sure how his character would work on this show, but Rhodes’ anti-social likeness certainly fits the personality Ford does quite well when thinking about the more disturbing elements of his Han Solo character in Star Wars, it just fits the show like a glove.
And the music in this show is so good
Somehow too believable, Sean (Luke Tennie) plays a sort of son figure to Jimmy (Segel) while he deals with family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)… What I see here seems so alive and the possibilities could be endless and I see Jimmy deals with these things. By the way, the theme song of this show is so good that I didn’t even skip it when I watched the second episode… Overall, it’s turning out to be a great show and I hope it only gets better from here.
